About the Job

AMETEK is hiring for the role of Contracts Specialist / Senior Contracts Specialist to support its Controls Southeast, Inc. business unit. The role involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a wide range of commercial agreements while working closely with sales, commercial operations, finance, and legal teams. This is a high-responsibility role requiring strong judgment, contract negotiation skills, and the ability to manage risk in a fast-paced environment.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field

For Contracts Specialist:
3–5 years of experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts

For Senior Contracts Specialist:
5–8 years of experience handling complex commercial agreements independently

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to manage high volumes of contracts and meet deadlines
  • Sound judgment with risk identification and escalation ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and collaboration platforms
  • Experience with contract management tools is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or engineered-to-order environments
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited program
  • Experience working in multinational or matrixed organizations

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements including NDAs, sales, supply, services, purchase, consulting, and distributor agreements
  • Collaborate with commercial, sales, supply chain, and operations teams to align contracts with business objectives
  • Identify and mitigate commercial and legal risks and provide practical solutions
  • Ensure compliance with company contracting policies and approval processes
  • Maintain contract templates and clause libraries in coordination with the legal team
  • Facilitate contract execution by coordinating internal reviews and approvals
  • Resolve contractual issues and disputes with internal stakeholders and legal teams
  • Escalate legal or risk-related issues to relevant departments when necessary
  • Coordinate with risk management on insurance-related contractual provisions
  • Support process improvement initiatives related to contract management and efficiency
