Call for Submissions | PLRC Newsletter [Volume 1, Issue 1]: Submit by July 22

About the Opportunity
The Punjab Legal Rights Consortium (PLRC) is a student-led legal organization committed to fostering legal awareness, promoting academic excellence, and encouraging meaningful discussions on contemporary legal issues. Through research, publications, events, and collaborative initiatives, PLRC aims to create a platform where aspiring legal professionals can learn, engage, and contribute to the legal community.
As part of this vision, PLRC is delighted to invite submissions for the First Edition of the PLRC Newsletter. This inaugural edition aims to provide law students with an opportunity to showcase their legal research and writing skills, share insightful perspectives, and contribute to meaningful legal discourse.

Whether you’re writing your first legal article or are an experienced researcher, we encourage you to share your ideas and become a part of PLRC’s inaugural publication.
Themes
Submissions may be based on any one of the following themes:
- Law
- Women
- Punjab
Authors may choose any one of the above themes. The submission is not required to cover all three.
Eligibility
The Call for Submissions is open to undergraduate and postgraduate law students.
Submission Guidelines
- The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal, newsletter, or publication.
- AI-generated or AI-assisted content is strictly prohibited and will not be considered for publication.
- Co-authorship is permitted for a maximum of two authors per submission.
- Each author may submit only one manuscript.
- A plagiarism report is optional; however, authors are strongly encouraged to submit one along with their manuscript.
- The maximum permissible plagiarism is 20%.
- Manuscripts must be written in clear, grammatically correct English.
- Citation Style: Hyperlinks only. All references and sources should be provided through hyperlinks wherever applicable. Traditional footnotes and citation styles are not required.
- Word Limit: 1,500–2,000 words.
Formatting Requirements:
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12 pt
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- The manuscript must include an abstract of 150–250 words, along with 4–6 keywords.
- Manuscripts must be submitted in both .doc/.docx and .pdf formats.
- File Name Format: [PLRC Newsletter_Author Name_Title of Article]
- Author details (Name, Institution, Year of Study, Email Address, and Contact Number) should be provided only through the Google Form. The manuscript itself should not contain any identifying information.
- By submitting the manuscript, the author(s) affirm that the work is original and grant PLRC the right to publish the accepted manuscript in the PLRC Newsletter.
- The Editorial Team reserves the right to accept, reject, edit, or make minor formatting and language changes to submissions for clarity, consistency, and suitability for publication.
- The publication decision will be communicated to the selected authors by 27th July 2026
Review Process
All submissions will undergo an editorial review based on originality, relevance to the selected theme, quality of research, clarity of expression, and overall merit. The Editorial Team may request revisions, wherever necessary.
Publication
The selected manuscripts will be published in the digital inaugural edition of the PLRC Newsletter (Volume I, Issue I).
Important Dates
- Submission Deadline: 22nd July 2026
- Publication Decision: 27th July 2026
Certificates
- Publication Certificates will be awarded to the authors of the five selected articles featured in the inaugural edition.
- Certificates of Participation will be awarded to all authors who submit eligible manuscripts in accordance with the submission guidelines.
