About the Conference

The 3rd Xavier Law Conference 2026 provides a dynamic platform to critically examine evolving standards of crime and justice in the 21st century. Centered on the theme “Reimagining Crimes in a Changing World: From Investigation to Adjudication,” Celebrating 75 years of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the conference explores how globalization, technological advancements, and socio-political transformations are reshaping both criminal activity and justice delivery.

The conference will address emerging challenges such as cybercrime, artificial intelligence, digital economies, cross-border offences, corporate misconduct, corruption, and financial fraud. It will also examine the growing role of digital evidence, forensic science, and AI-driven tools in investigation and adjudication, emphasizing the need to balance innovation with accountability and fundamental rights.

Theme of the Conference

“Reimagining Crimes in a Changing World: From Investigation to Adjudication in the 21st Century.”

  1. International crimes and challenges: Warfare Atrocities (War Crimes, Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity), Terrorism & Cyber-Terrorism, Victims of war and Rehabilitation Mechanisms.
  2. Gender Disparity in different Crimes: Criminalization of Gender specific crimes (Honor Killing, Witch-hunting), Sexual and reproductive violence (decriminalization of Section 377 of IPC, 1860), Marital rape, Crimes related to LGBTQ+.
  3. Technological Disparity in different crimes: Policing and Investigation using Artificial Intelligence, Algorithm bias in adjudication, Investigating, Litigating crime related to Artificial Intelligence and Meta Verse, phishing, Digital Forensics and Electronic Governance.
  4. Corporate Crimes: Insider trading and Market manipulations, corporate fraud, Environmental Crimes by Corporations and digital fraud.
  5. White Collar Crime: Money Laundering, Tax Evasion, Cryptocurrency Fraud, Public Health Offenses, Bribery, Corruption.
  6. Crimes related to vulnerable and marginalized groups: mob lynching, communal violence, exclusion, suppression of linguistic rights, abandonment and negligence of elderly people.

(Authors may also choose to integrate and interlink these themes and submit a paper).

The Conference invites original research papers structured around the four pillars of Investigation, Litigation, Adjudication, and Law-making.

Guidelines of Abstract Submission

Submission of the Abstract and Research Proposal is FREE for all participants. Registration fees will be applicable only upon selection of the abstract, for participation and presentation at the conference.

For submission of your Abstract and research proposal, kindly prepare the following three components:

  1. Abstract – Maximum 300 words
  2. Research Proposal – 1,000 words
  3. Introduction & Background
  4. Problem Statement
  5. Research Questions/Hypotheses
  6. Objectives
  7. Methodology Significance / Contribution
  8. References – At least 10 academic references.

Guidelines for Paper Submission

  1. Word Limit and Language:
  2. The manuscript must not exceed 6,000 words, including references.
  3. The paper must be typewritten in English only.
  4. Submissions must be prepared and submitted in Microsoft® Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  5. Originality of Manuscripts:
  6. The manuscript must be an original work of the author(s) and must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  7. Plagiarism is permitted only up to 10%, excluding references, quotations, and properly cited sources. Manuscripts exceeding this limit will be rejected without review.
  8. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) assisted tools is permitted only up to 10% of the total manuscript content. Authors must ensure that AI use does not compromise originality, academic integrity, or authorship responsibility.
  9. The author(s) shall be fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and ethical compliance of the manuscript, including content generated or assisted by AI tools.
  10. General Formatting and Style:
  11. Manuscripts must strictly adhere to APA 7th Edition formatting and referencing guidelines.
  12. Use standard margins and maintain uniform formatting throughout the manuscript.
  13. No page borders, watermarks, background colours, or decorative elements should be used.

Sub-Headings

  • Style: Sentence case No numbering should be used.

Main Text / Content

  • Font: Times New Roman

  • Alignment: Justified.
  • Tables and Figures:

All tables included in the manuscript must:

  • Be numbered sequentially (Table 1, Table 2, etc.).
  • Be accompanied by clear and concise captions explaining the content, study, or results presented.

Tables must be placed appropriately within the text and formatted in accordance with APA 7th Edition guidelines.

References

  • All references must be prepared strictly in accordance with APA 7th Edition citation style.
  • Authors must ensure accuracy and completeness of all citations.

Manuscripts not conforming to the above guidelines may be rejected.

Important Dates

  • January 31st, 2026 – Abstract & Research Proposal submission.
  • February 3rd, 2026 – Selection of Abstract & communication followed by Commencement of Registration.
  • February 15th, 2026 – Last date of Registration.
  • March 1st, 2026 – Full Paper Submission.
  • March 6th & 7th, 2026 – Dates of the Conference.

  • Best Paper – INR 10,000
  • Best Presentation – INR 7,000
  • Best Innovative Paper – INR 5,000
  • Publication & Participation Certificates for selected authors.

Publication Details

Top 30 papers will be considered for publication in an edited volume book with a reputable International Publication house.
