About Pravin Gandhi College of Law
Pravin Gandhi College of Law was established in 2004 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) to impart high-quality legal education and address the societal needs and the needs of the industry with the advent of globalisation. The college has been granted linguistic minority status for the Gujarati community.
About the Journal
PGCL Law Review is an annual peer-reviewed academic publication by SVKM’s Pravin Gandhi College of Law, Mumbai. The Journal is dedicated to sharing high-quality research on law and socio-legal studies from a variety of perspectives, including comparative, global and trans-disciplinary perspectives. The Editorial Board invites submissions from academicians, practitioners, law students and all those with an interdisciplinary interest.
Submission Categories
Manuscripts on any topic of contemporary legal relevance, meeting the below-mentioned criteria:
- Long Article – 4000-8000 words.
- Short Article – 2000-4000 words.
- Case Comments – 2000-3000 words.
- Book Reviews – 1000-2000 words.
Note: The word limit is exclusive of the abstract and the footnotes.
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions may be co-authored by a maximum of two authors.
- Manuscripts must include an abstract of not more than 300 words. The abstract must highlight the structure and the essence of the manuscript. The permitted plagiarism limit for the manuscript is not more than 10%. Authors are requested to ensure that the research submitted is original. The work has to be fully referenced, and all authors cited should be accurately represented. Manuscripts not in conformity with the Submission Guidelines may be rejected at the sole discretion of the Editorial Board.
- The author(s) bear sole responsibility for the accuracy of facts, opinions or views stated in the submitted paper. The Editorial Board reserves the right to send the manuscripts back to the Authors for any modification(s) at any stage, in the event of non-conformity with the Submission Guidelines.
- The Editorial Board may, in its absolute discretion, waive any of the above rules or amend the process. In case of any dispute or ambiguity, the decision of the Editorial Board shall be final and binding.
Formatting Guidelines
- Main Title: Times New Roman, Size 14, small capitals, centre aligned, in bold.
- Headings within the main body: Times New Roman, Size 12, upper case, left aligned, in bold.Subheadings within the main body: Times New Roman, Size 12, title case, left aligned, in italics. The authors must conform to the 4th Edition of OSCOLA rules of citation. Footnotes must be in Times New Roman, with Font Size 10 and 1.0-line spacing.
- The line spacing for the manuscript should be 1.5.
Eligibility
Submissions are invited from undergraduate and graduate students, practitioners, academicians, research scholars, and anyone else studying or working in legal and allied fields.
Submission Deadline
Submissions shall be on a rolling basis.
All papers submitted before 31st January 2025 will be considered for the 2024-25 Vol 1 issue.

- Submissions must be made only through the Google Form, and the name of the author(s), qualifications, the title of the manuscript, and the required contact details must be accurately provided.
- Please submit the manuscript using the following form: Submission form. Submissions made through any other medium, including by way of emails, shall not be considered for review by the Editorial Board.
- All the submissions must be in (.docx) format. They must be word-processed and compatible with Microsoft Word 2007 or above.
- The manuscript should not contain any information that can be used to identify the Author. All the relevant details must be mentioned only within the Google form attached.
- Authors shall receive an email acknowledging the receipt of their manuscript within a month of receiving the submission. If the same is not received, authors can write to us at pgcllawreview[at]gmail.com.
