About the Journal (AJLS)

The Aditya Journal of Legal Studies (AJLS) is a peer-reviewed, quarterly legal online journal published by Aditya College of Law. Committed to advancing legal scholarship, AJLS provides a platform for academics, practitioners, researchers, and students to engage with contemporary legal issues. Our mission is to foster critical inquiry, interdisciplinary dialogue, and doctrinal excellence in an ever-evolving jurisprudential landscape.

Theme: Open Theme (General Issue). For its inaugural volume, the Aditya Journal of Legal Studies invites submissions on any aspect of law, including but not limited to:

  • Constitutional Law and Public Policy
  • Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Administration
  • Corporate and Commercial Law
  • Human Rights and Social Justice
  • Environmental Law and Climate Governance
  • Technology, AI, and Data Privacy Laws
  • International Law and Dispute Resolution
  • Family Law and Gender Justice
  • Legal Theory and Jurisprudence
  • Intellectual Property Law

Interdisciplinary and comparative legal studies are strongly encouraged.

Submission Categories

  • Long Articles (5,000–8,000 words)
  • Short Articles/Essays (3,000–5,000 words)
  • Notes & Comments (2,000–4,000 words)
  • Case/Legislative Comments (1,500–3,000 words)

Submission Guidelines

General Instructions & Guidelines for Submission

  • All submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of 150–250 words along with 4–6 keywords.
  • Co-authorship is permitted for up to two authors only.
  • Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration with any other journal or platform.
  • Any form of plagiarism or AI-generated content, above 10%, will lead to immediate rejection.
  • Authors must submit a separate cover page containing:
    • Title of the manuscript
    • Name(s) of the author(s)
    • Institutional affiliation and designation
    • Email address and contact number
    • The main manuscript must not contain any identifying details to ensure a fair double-blind review process.
    • The manuscript must be formatted in:
    • Times New Roman, font size 12 for the main text with 1.5 line spacing
    • Times New Roman, font size 10 for footnotes with single spacing
    • Citations must strictly conform to the ILI (Indian Law Institute) Citation Style (latest edition).
  • The Editorial Board reserves the right to accept, reject, or request modifications to any submission.
  • Upon publication, copyright shall vest with the Aditya Journal of Legal Studies, while authors retain moral rights over their work.

  • Full Paper Acceptance date- After peer review
  • Expected Publication Date- 25th July 2026
