The City Law College is set to host the 4th Edition of Atal Youth Parliament 2026, a prestigious 2-day parliamentary simulation event. Organized by Lex Mirror Veritas, this event aims to replicate the functioning of the Lok Sabha and develop leadership, debating, and policy-making skills among students.
About Atal Youth Parliament 2026
Atal Youth Parliament is a bilingual parliamentary simulation where participants:
- Represent political leaders
- Debate national and global issues
- Engage in structured legislative discussions
- Develop public speaking and analytical skills
Parliamentary Structure & Format (Agenda)
The event simulates Lok Sabha proceedings across two days:
Session 1
- Main Agenda: UGC Reforms & Policies
- Zero Hour: Urgent matters related to UGC
- Private Members Session: Bills/resolutions on UGC
Session 2
- Main Agenda: Right to Recall
- Zero Hour: Issues related to UAPA
- Private Members Session: Debate on UAPA provisions
Eligibility
The event is open to all college and school students and follows a first-come, first-served registration basis.
Prizes
Total Prize Pool: ₹25,000/-
- Best Parliamentarian: ₹10,000 + Trophy
- High Commendation: ₹7,000 + Trophy
- Emerging Leader: ₹5,000 + Trophy
- Special Mention: ₹1,000 + Trophy
- Voice of Empowerment (Shakti Samman): ₹1,000 + Trophy
- Best Leader of Opposition: ₹1,000 + Trophy
Certificates will be provided to all participants
Portfolio Allocation
Participants will represent roles such as:
- Prime Minister
- Leader of the Opposition
- Cabinet Ministers
- Members of Parliament
Process
- Select 3 preferences during registration
- Allocation based on first-come-first-served
- Final allotment shared 48 hours before the event
Rules & Code of Conduct
Speaking Rules
- Speech limit: 2 minutes
- Zero Hour: 1-minute intervention
- Strict adherence to the Speaker’s instructions
Parliamentary Etiquette
- Address the chair as Hon’ble Speaker
- Maintain decorum
- No interruptions or misuse of language
Disqualification Grounds
- Misbehavior or abusive language
- Repeated rule violations
- Late entry beyond 15 minutes
Dress Code
Participants must wear:
- Formal attire (for leadership roles)
- OR Indian traditional wear (kurta, saree, sherwani etc.)
No casual wear allowed
Key Guidelines
- Active participation mandatory
- No mobile usage during sessions
- Follow parliamentary language and decorum
- Reach the venue 30 minutes early
Registration Fees
Rs. 700/- only for each person.
Limited seats available, early registration is highly recommended.
