Sujata Chaudhri IP Attorneys is seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney for the position of a Principal Associate who will head up our trademark and copyright practice (non-contentious).  

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of non-contentious trade mark and copyright prosecution, including strategic advice on availability of marks for registration and use, risk assessment, all other type of advisory work on trade marks and copyrights, trade mark and copyright filings, responding to objections, hearings at the Trade Mark Registry and Copyright Office, and all aspects of portfolio management in India.

Eligibility

Senior Associate

• 5-6 years PQE
• Ability to handle day-to-day client deliverables with independence.
• Strong drafting and oratorical (advocacy) skills.
• Experience in drafting suits, applications, and reviewing litigation documents.
• Assisting partners with litigation strategy and briefing senior advocates.
• Experience in appearing and arguing matters before courts, especially the Delhi High Court.
• Ability to supervise, guide, and mentor a team of associates.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Associate 

• 2-3 years PQE
• Motivated lawyers with prior experience in intellectual property litigation.
• Strong drafting and oratorical (advocacy) skills.
• Experience in appearing before IP Divisions of courts across India, especially the Delhi High Court.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude in a demanding environment.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and thrive within a dynamic litigation practice.

Responsibilities

The roles involve working closely on a range of intellectual property disputes, with exposure to strategy, drafting, and court proceedings.
