About the Job
The firm is hiring two Senior Associates to join its expanding Indirect Tax Litigation and Advisory practice.
Eligibility
- Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience strictly and exclusively in indirect tax laws.
- Enrolled with the Bar Council, with West Bengal Bar Council enrolment preferred.
- Candidates must be permanently based in Kolkata or ready to practise locally.
Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of complex indirect tax matters involving GST, Customs, Foreign Trade Policy, Central Excise, Service Tax and VAT.
- Assist in arguing and presenting matters before Tribunals and High Courts.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and case preparation.
- Draft pleadings.
- Mentor and guide junior associates on research, procedural compliance and case strategy.
Duration
Full-time, permanent position.
Date of Joining
Immediate or as per mutual agreement based on the candidate’s notice period.
Mode
Offline (On-site).
