About the Job

JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. is hiring an Assistant Vice President – Senior Legal Counsel – Payments to provide legal advisory and transactional support to its Payments business across the Asia-Pacific and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions.

Eligibility

Must be a qualified lawyer with at least six years of post-qualification legal experience.
Strong legal drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across multiple jurisdictions.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and respond effectively to business needs and objectives.

Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and support to the Payments business across Asia-Pacific and EMEA jurisdictions on client-related transactions.
Review, negotiate, draft and finalise contracts with borrowers, customers and partner banks in accordance with internal guidance and standard operating procedures.
Coordinate with local, regional and global legal teams, as well as functional and business stakeholders, on legal matters.
Support cross-border and cross-business activities and projects by identifying legal considerations and execution requirements.
Instruct and work with external legal counsel.
Contribute to projects aimed at improving operational processes and increasing the efficiency and scalability of legal support.
