About the Job

JioStar is hiring an Assistant Manager – Legal (International Business) to support its International Distribution and Syndication business. The role involves working closely with business teams across different regions while assisting with contract management, legal advisory, and compliance-related matters.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree from a recognised university.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong legal research skills and the ability to stay updated on evolving laws and industry standards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain legal issues and solutions.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate potential barriers and develop effective legal strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support contract management processes.
• Advise international business teams on legal matters related to distribution and syndication.
• Structure, draft, negotiate, and close contracts and transactions.
• Develop and maintain contract and compliance checklists and internal processes.
• Conduct research and analysis of policies, amendments, rules, consultation papers, and regulatory notifications.
• Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with internal legal teams including litigation, general entertainment, and anti-piracy teams.
