About the Job
JioStar is hiring an Assistant Manager – Legal & Regulatory for its Corporate Legal department. The selected candidate will be part of the Entertainment business legal team and provide legal support for assigned channels.
The role will report to the Director – Legal & Regulatory.
Eligibility
- LL.B. graduate.
- 4–6 years of post-qualification experience.
- Prior relevant experience with a media and entertainment organisation.
- Experience in media companies, production houses or music labels is preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of media-related laws, including the Copyright Act and Trademarks Act.
Responsibilities
- Review, negotiate and finalise contracts for the Hindi GEC business, including content licensing, production agreements, artist agreements, consultant/retainer agreements, service provider arrangements and marketing arrangements.
- Assist and advise business and commercial teams on legal issues, including IP, content and rights advisory.
- Conduct due diligence and rights checks.
- Maintain internal documentation, databases and inventory.
- Assist senior legal team members in streamlining legal processes and SOPs.
- Assist with standardisation of legal templates.
- Coordinate and work with multiple teams across the organisation.
