About the Job
Burma Burma Restaurant & Tea Room is looking for an Assistant Manager – Legal to join its growing team in Mumbai. The role involves supporting the organisation’s expanding business through contract management, property-related legal work, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and other legal operations.
Eligibility
- Candidates must possess an LL.B. degree.
- Applicants should have experience in contract drafting, property documentation, company law, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
- Exposure to corporate compliance and capital markets regulations will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills are required.
- Prior experience in the F&B, retail, hospitality, or QSR industry will be preferred.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review commercial agreements, leave and licence agreements, vendor contracts, employment letters, and other legal documents.
- Support new restaurant openings through property due diligence, licences, and statutory approvals.
- Manage contract renewals and legal documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including FSSAI, Labour Laws, POSH, and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with landlords, brokers, legal consultants, and government authorities.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal matters while mitigating business risks.
- Support corporate governance, compliance filings, and legal operations.
