About the Organisers

Centre for Transparency and Accountability in Governance, National Law University Delhi, has been constituted to uphold the commitment of the rule of law and good governance.

The Centre emphasises on sensitising people on transparency and accountability in governance; empowering people such as students, lawyers, and public officials to contribute effectively to ensure transparency and accountability in governance; and creating and promoting quality research in the area of transparency and accountability in governance.

The Centre also provides, free of cost, training, sensitisation and consultative services on RTI to people. The Centre has organised national and International Conferences on good governance issues.

About the event

ARTICLE WRITING COMPETITION

Participants may choose to write on any one of the following themes:

  • Efficacy of Integrity in Combating Corruption
  • Combating Corruption through Collectivism
  • Role of Student Organisations in Combating Corruption.

Each of these themes seeks to highlight the multifaceted nature of corruption and the need for ethical, social, and institutional mechanisms to address it effectively.

Eligibility

The competition is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in any recognised university or institution (except National Law University, Delhi students). The students submitting their manuscript are also required to take the integrity pledge and submit an undertaking of the same.

Prizes

The top three articles from each theme will be awarded a cash prize of ₹5,000 each. Winners will also receive an internship opportunity with CTAG, NLU Delhi. The piece will also be published in the MTAG Magazine, subject to scrutiny.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Word Limit: 3000 words (exclusive of footnotes).
  • Citation Style: OSCOLA, 4th Edition.
  • Formatting: Body: Times New Roman,
  • Font Size 12, 1.5 Line Spacing.
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, Font Size 10, Single Line Spacing.

Judgment Criteria Submissions will be evaluated based on

  • Depth and quality of research;
  • Originality and substantive contribution to the chosen theme;
  • Arguments supported by verifiable data and credible sources; – Novelty and avoidance of repetition of existing literature;
  • Analytical rigour and inclusion of implementable recommendations.
