About the Colloquium

The discussion of same-sex marriage brings to light the long-standing debate between the philosophy of Originalism and the Living Organism perspective in interpreting the Constitution. It is further of great relevance to analyze specifically how same-sex marriages could be included within the confines of our Constitution.

The topic of same-sex marriage exposes generations of hidden discrimination and ostracizing of certain people.

It is necessary to discuss this once-considered ‘taboo’ topic to clarify prejudices, cease the spread of misinformation, and ensure that justice prevails. The ultimate objective of this colloquium is to create an atmosphere of understanding and critical analysis, which would be imperative in creating apt policy.

Every student of the B.A., L.L.B.(Hons.), L.L.M or practitioners in the field of law wishing to attend the colloquium has to register using the given form.
