About the Moot

Trilegal presents 2nd NALSAR-CCI Antitrust Moot, 2023 is set to happen in two stages: the Memorandum Elimination Round and the Oral Rounds.

The top 32 teams from the Memorandum Elimination Round qualify to the Oral Rounds. The Oral Rounds are scheduled to happen between April 14th – 16th, 2023 in an offline format at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.

Eligibility

The Competition is open to students currently enrolled in LL.B. Degree Courses (3 year/5 year) or LLM Postgraduate Degree Courses enrolled in any institution recognized by the Bar Council of India. 

Applications from Cross-institutional Teams are accepted.

There is no limit on the number of teams applying from one institution.

Registration Process

Teams of 2 (speakers) or 3 (2 speakers and 1 researcher) are welcome to register.

Registrations close 5th March 2023.

No more than 100 teams will be accepted for the Memorandum Elimination Round on a first come first serve basis.

Registration Fees

  • Registration Fee of INR 4,000 per team is mandatory for all teams registering for the Competition.  
  • Accommodation Fee of INR 4,000 per team is mandatory for all teams qualifying to the Oral Rounds of the Competition.

Prizes

  • Winning Team Award: Plaque, a cash prize of INR 1,00,000 and three one-year complimentary (Academic) SCC Online Web Edition worth INR 27,000 each.
  • Runners-Up Team Award: Plaque, a cash prize of INR 50,000 and three one-year complimentary (Academic) subscriptions to EBC Learning worth INR 14,500 each.
  • Best Speaker Award: Plaque and a cash prize of INR 10,000.
  • Second-Best Speaker Award: Plaque and a cash prize of INR 7,500.
  • Best Memorandum Award – Informant: Plaque and a cash prize of INR 12,500.
  • Best Memorandum Award – Opposite Party: Plaque and a cash prize of INR 12,500.
  • Best Researcher Award: Plaque and a cash prize of INR 7,500.

All participating teams will be provided with a certificate of participation or a certificate of merit in accordance with the performance of the team.

Access To SCC Online for all participants

The Knowledge Partner of the competition, SCC Online, will be providing one month access to the SCC Online Web Edition to all the participants of the competition. This shall be made accessible through the individual email IDs of the participants. A training session for the participants will also be held.
