About the 8th NLIU–Singhania & Partners National Client Counselling Competition, 2026

The NLIU-MCA is delighted to present the eighth edition of the NLIU–Singhania & Partners National Client Counselling Competition, scheduled to take place in person from 21st to 23rd August, 2026. Renowned as one of the most prestigious client counselling competitions in India, it has consistently drawn participation from leading universities across the country, establishing itself as a highly anticipated event in the legal calendar.

The MCA, with every successive edition of this competition, hopes to provide every participant a wholesome experience of learning practical skills from top legal practitioners in dealing with clients and providing accurate legal advice.

Format of the Competition

The organisers invite eligible institutions to participate in the competition, which will be conducted in physical mode.

The competition is limited to a maximum of 20 teams, and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A maximum of two teams from the same institution may participate, subject to prior approval from the organisers via email.

The registration fee is INR 10,000 for a two-member team. Both team members will participate in the competition as counsels.

Important Dates

  • Last Date for Provisional Registration: 15th July, 2026
  • Last Date for Final Registration: 5th August, 2026
  • Physical Oral Rounds: 21st to 23rd August, 2026

Venue

The competition will be organised in a physical mode at the NLIU Campus in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

Registration Procedure

The institutions can register themselves for the Competition, provisionally through their designated Moot Court Association by filling the Google Form attached.

Each institution may register up to two teams, subject to the availability of slots after provisional registration. In order to register a second team, the institution must write to us in advance and obtain prior permission.
