The Moot Court Society works towards enhancing advocacy and drafting skills among students by organizing national and international competitions and promoting mooting culture.

About the Opportunity

The 6th PGCL SAARC International Moot Court Competition, 2026 is an international-level virtual moot bringing together participants from across SAARC nations. The competition provides a platform for law students to showcase their advocacy skills, legal research, and drafting abilities.

The Competition seeks to address pressing concerns affecting the development of SAARC nations, both individually and collectively, while symbolising unity through strength. It endeavours to uphold the welfare objectives and cooperative principles of SAARC and aims to develop practical, innovative solutions capable of implementation at the ground level. We warmly welcome students from across borders to participate and contribute to this shared vision.

Eligibility

  • Open to students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB, BCL, JD or equivalent).
  • Maximum of 24 teams on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  • Each institution may send up to 2 teams.
  • Each team must consist of 3 members:
    • 2 Speakers
    • 1 Researcher

Registration Fee

  • India: INR 5,000 per team
  • International teams: Fee varies based on exchange rates (as specified in the brochure).

Prizes

  • Winners: Cash Prize + Certificates
  • Runners-up: Cash Prize + Certificates
  • Best Speaker: Cash Prize + Certificate
  • 2nd Best Speaker: Cash Prize + Certificate
  • Best Memorial: Cash Prize + Certificate
  • Total Prize Pool: Up to INR 1,00,000

  • Last Date for Provisional Registration: 15th April, 2026
  • Last Date for Final Registration: 30th April, 2026
  • Last Date to Seek Clarifications: 25th April, 2026
  • Submission of Memorials (soft-copy): 08th May, 2026
  • Inauguration: 14th May, 2026
  • Rounds: 15th May, 2026 to 17th May, 2026
