About the Organisation

Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth (TMV) established in 1921 is recognized by the Government of India in the year 1987 as the “Deemed to be University” under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. We offer programs in multiple disciplines such as Ayurveda, Sanskrit, Social Sciences, Modern Sciences & Professional Skills, Management, Health Sciences, Law and Distance Education.

TMV’s Lokmanya Tilak Law College was established in 2012 and was approved by the Bar Council of India. B.A. LL.B. (Five years), B.B.A. LL.B. (Five years), LL.B. (Three years) and LL.M. (Two years) courses are offered by the institute. In pursuit of excellence our institution aims at not only professionalism but also ethical values and social responsibility and hence the curriculum is designed to transcend the boundaries of academics to be relevant in the changing corporate and social requirements.

About the Opportunity

The 6th National Level Bal Gangadhar Tilak Moot Court Competition, 2026 offers law students a practical platform to develop advocacy, legal research, and memorial drafting skills. Participants gain hands-on experience in courtroom proceedings and oral arguments before academicians and legal professionals.

The competition encourages constitutional and legal reasoning through applied learning. It also provides national-level exposure, fostering academic interaction and professional networking. Participation and awards add significant value to students’ academic profiles and career prospects.

Theme

6TH EDITION BAL GANGADHAR TILAK NATIONAL LEVEL MOOT COURT COMPETITION, 2026 (HYBRID MODE)

Eligibility

Students pursuing three year and five-year integrated Law Courses from any recognized university/Law school/College/Department are eligible to participate in this competition.

Only one team can participate from each institute.

Registration Fee

Rs.3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand) per team.

Prizes

  • Winner of the Final Round will be awarded with the “Best Team” Certificate, Memento, Cash Prize of Rs. 11,000/- and Annual subscription of AIR Online (AOL) for a period of 365 days.
  • Runners-up of the Final Round will awarded with the “Runners- Up” Certificate, Memento, Cash Prize of Rs. 5000/- and AIR Online (AOL) subscription for Supreme Court and Bombay High Court.
  • Team with the highest memorial scores will be awarded with the “Best Memorial” Certificate, Memento, Cash Prize of Rs. 2000/- and a Book published by AIR.
  • “The Best Mooter” will be awarded with the “Best Mooter” Certificate, Memento, Cash Prize of Rs. 2000/- and a Book published by AIR.
  • In addition to the above, e-certificates will be issued to all the participants within one week from the valedictory function and no prior request shall be entertained in any case.

Registration Process

  • In order to confirm participation, teams of every Institute should register themselves. Registration fee for every team is Rs.3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand) only.
  • The duly completed Google Form for Registration with all team details and NEFT must be submitted to the Moot Court Organising Team on or before 15th February, 2026 by 11.30 p.m. (IST).
  • No change in the names of the participants shall be permitted after the receipt of the Registration Form, except at the sole discretion of the organizers.
  • All teams shall be given a “Team Code” by the Organizers on validation of their Google Form for Registration and NEFT.
  • The teams shall use their designated “Team Code” for all correspondence with the Organizers.
  • The same team code must be used by the teams during the submission of Memorials and during all the Rounds of the Competition.
  • The Name of the Institute of the Participants should not be disclosed by students while they are participating.
  • The participants (outside Pune) if attending offline will have to arrange for their own accommodation.
