AI has revolutionized legal services, from research to document analysis, raising questions about ownership and accountability. With AI’s ability to create and modify content, issues like copyright infringement and identity theft have become prevalent. This competition addresses these contemporary challenges by emphasizing the legal implications of technology and copyright. Theme

The 4th Adamas National Moot Court Competition focuses on the intertwined field of Artificial Intelligence and Law, with a particular emphasis on Intellectual Property Rights. AI has significantly transformed the legal profession, transforming various aspects of legal services, including research, document analysis, contract review, and predictive analytics.

AI-powered platforms can efficiently analyze vast amounts of legal documents, statutes, case law, and precedents. However, AI-generated content presents challenges in determining ownership and attributing authorship, as they lack legal personhood, making it unclear who holds responsibility for content produced by AI.

This ambiguity can lead to disputes over ownership and rights, complicating the enforcement of copyright law. A person’s virtual identity is becoming increasingly relevant as personal data on online platforms is subjected to various felonies like privacy transgression, copyright infringement, deepfakes, and identity theft. The need to combat these disputes has become a pressing need, and the theme of the competition revolves around Law and the intertwined discipline of Technology and Copyright.
