About Legal Drafting Competition 2025

The legal drafting competition 2025, organised by Canonsphere, is a prestigious virtual event crafted to enhance the legal drafting skills of budding lawyers. Centred around the theme “Resolving Matrimonial Disputes: Centering Women’s Rights”, this competition challenges participants to draft the required legal pleadings based on a fictional legal scenario. It aims to test the participants’ understanding of family and criminal law, as well as their ability to apply procedural rules and draft a clear, structured, and persuasive legal document. This competition is an excellent opportunity for students to engage with critical legal issues while refining a fundamental skill of legal practice.

Eligibility

Students pursuing any undergraduate degree (BA LL.B/ B.Com LL.B/ BBA LL.B/ B.Sc LL.B/ BA/ LL.B/ B.Com/ BBA/ B. Tech, etc.) from a recognised university can participate in the 4th Legal drafting competition 2025.

Theme

Resolving Matrimonial Disputes: Centring Women’s Rights

Note: The problem statement will be disclosed at a later stage. However, Participants will be required to submit the matrimonial-related legal drafts.
