The Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL), Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna, is pleased to invite papers for the 4th CNLU–CARCIL National Conference on Securities Laws, 2026, being organised as a part of the CNLU–CARCIL National Corporate Fest (CNCF’26).

CNLU has garnered a pan-India reputation as a stellar institution for legal research and education. CNLU strives to provide opportunities for students and research scholars to enhance their knowledge, practical nuances and research skills through conferences, capacity building series, and guest lectures on contemporary issues, undertaken in collaboration with Central and State Statutory Bodies, Think Tanks and Research Centres, other National and State Educational Institutions, Law Firms, and Trade Associations, among others.

About the Conference

The 4th CNLU–CARCIL National Conference on Securities Laws builds upon the success of its previous editions and serves as a platform for engaging with contemporary developments in India’s securities and capital markets framework. The Conference is designed to facilitate discussions on regulatory trends, market dynamics, investor protection, and emerging challenges in securities law.

The Conference will be conducted in a two-phase format. In the first phase, participants will be required to submit original and unpublished research papers within the prescribed timeline, along with the initial registration fee. Based on evaluation, the top 8 participants will qualify for the final phase.

The shortlisted participants will advance to the final stage, to be held on campus, where they will present their papers before expert panels and engage in discussions on contemporary issues in securities and capital markets law. Selected participants will be required to complete further registration for the advanced rounds. The offline presentations are scheduled for 3rd September, 2026.

The Conference is designed to assess research aptitude, analytical ability, and legal reasoning in the field of securities and capital markets law. Prizes will be awarded, along with other recognitions.

Eligibility

They invite students from recognised law and management universities, academicians, practicing lawyers, and subject matter experts with a keen interest in the dynamics of securities laws and related themes.

The above-mentioned themes are indicative, and the list of sub-themes is not exhaustive.

Formatting Guidelines

  • The content should be written in Times New Roman, font size 12.
  • The font size of the heading and any sub-headings should be 14.
  • The line spacing should be maintained at 1.5.
  • The content of the writing should be justified.
  • The main heading as well as the sub-heading should be centre-aligned.
  • The footnotes shall be in Times New Roman, font size 10.
  • The line spacing for footnotes should be maintained at 1, with justified alignment.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts should not exceed 350 words, and the author(s) are required to submit the abstract within their manuscript at the time of final submission.
  • The length of the full manuscript shall be 3000–5000 words (excluding footnotes and references).
  • The footnoting style shall be Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st Edition).
  • Co-authorship is limited to a maximum of two authors.
  • The manuscript must be original and not yet published.
  • The manuscript shall be in the English language only, and the similarity index should not be above 10% after utilising the necessary filters.
  • The author(s) bear sole responsibility for the accuracy of facts, opinions, and views stated in the manuscript.
  • The author(s) shall refrain from submitting the manuscript elsewhere during the pendency of the review process.
  • The name(s) of the author(s) or institution must not be mentioned anywhere in the body of the submission.
  • The payment of registration fees is mandatory for all the author(s).
  • The participants are required to fill out the registration form and select their choice of topic/theme from the proposed themes.
