About the Competition
Following the successful inaugural edition, Tamil Nadu National Law University is organising the 2nd TNNLU Commercial Trial Advocacy Competition (CTAC), 2026.
The competition aims to provide law students with practical exposure to trial court proceedings in the context of commercial disputes and to develop their advocacy, analytical, legal reasoning and courtroom skills.
The competition will be conducted on 3rd–4th October 2026 at the campus of Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.
Theme
The competition focuses on Commercial Trial Advocacy, providing participants with an opportunity to engage with trial proceedings arising from commercial disputes.

Eligibility
The competition is open to law students from recognised law institutions/universities, subject to the eligibility requirements prescribed in the official Rulebook.
Team Composition
- The competition is limited to 20 teams.
- Each institution/university is permitted to register only one team.
- Institutions may make provisional registration to reserve their slot.
