About the Organisation
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab is a premier national law university established by the State Legislature of Punjab under the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006. RGNUL has steadily emerged as one of India’s leading law schools, committed to academic rigour, interdisciplinary research, and professional training.
The Centre for Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights (CIIPR) at RGNUL functions as a specialised research and capacity-building centre, focusing on contemporary issues in intellectual property law through academic and practical initiatives.
About the Opportunity
The 2nd RGNUL National IP Law Moot Court Competition, 2026 is designed to simulate contemporary IP litigation, bridging the gap between theoretical legal education and courtroom practice. The competition tests participants on substantive IP law as well as procedural strategy and advocacy skills.
Theme
The moot proposition revolves around complex issues of Intellectual Property Law, including contemporary challenges in IP litigation and enforcement.
Eligibility
The competition is open to law students enrolled in recognised law universities and institutions.
Each team shall consist of two members only.
Registration Fee
- Early Bird Fee: ₹1,500 per team (till 27 January 2026)
- Regular Fee: ₹2,000 per team (thereafter)
Prizes
- Winners: ₹12,000
- Runner-Up: ₹8,000
- Best Memorial: ₹5,000
- Best Speaker: ₹5,000

- Last Date of Registration: 5 February 2026
- Memorial Submission Deadline: 20 February 2026

- Valedictory Ceremony: 10 March 2026
