About The Central Law College, Salem

The Central Law College, Salem, is the First Private Law College in Tamilnadu founded in 1984 by Prof. R.V. Dhanapalan, who started his career as an Advocate and served as a Senior Professor at the Madras Law College. He has to his credit rich experience in the field of University Education. He discharged the work of Vice-Chancellor of the University of Madras for 8 months and was the Special Officer in the formation of the first Law University in the country- The TamilnaduDr Ambedkar Law University, appointed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, State of Tamilnadu. The founder was also an advisor to the Governor of Tamil Nadu on University Education in Tamil Nadu and was the Vice President of the Indian Institute of Public Administration, a premier national institution of excellence in Public Administration.
