About the Competition

The competition promotes greater knowledge and interest among law students in practical laws and consulting functions of law practice. It encourages participants to develop interviewing, planning, and analytical skills in lawyer-client relationships through a two-stage hybrid format. The initial Virtual Preliminary Round takes place in October 2026, with qualifying teams advancing to the Offline Advanced Rounds at the KLA Campus in November 2026.

Eligibility

  • Open to all law colleges, law schools, and university departments in India recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
  • Currently enrolled students pursuing 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. programs are eligible.
  • Students undergoing post-graduation in law (LL.M.) or correspondence courses are not eligible.
  • Multiple teams per institution are permitted, provided they obtain explicit written permission (e.g., authorization letter from the Principal/Dean).

Team Composition

Each team shall consist of exactly two students acting as co-counsels. Solo participation is not permitted.

  • Selection Announcement: 7 October 2026
  • Desk Reporting & Inaugural Session (Offline): 12 November 2026
  • Pre-Quarterfinals & Quarterfinals (Offline): 13 November 2026
  • Semifinals, Finals & Valedictory Session (Offline): 14 November 2026

  • Second Best Team: Trophy + ₹30,000 Cash Prize & Certificate of Merit

  • Best Counsel: Trophy + ₹3,000 Cash Prize & Certificate of Merit
  • Second Best Counsel: Trophy & Certificate of Merit
  • Best Client (Offline Rounds): Trophy + ₹2,000 Cash Prize & Certificate of Merit

  • Participation Certificates: E-Certificates awarded to all preliminary participants; physical certificates provided to offline attendees.

Registration Fee & Process

  • Stage 1 Registration Fee (Preliminary Round): ₹3,000 per team (Non-refundable).
  • Stage 2 Registration Fee (Selected Offline Teams): ₹2,500 per team (Without accommodation) or ₹3,000 per team (With AC Dormitory accommodation).
  • Provisional Registration: Email team details to [email protected] on or before 15 September 2026.
  • Final Registration: Submit the online form and payment confirmation on or before 28 September 2026.
