About the Organiser

IILM was established in 1993, under the aegis of the Ram Krishan & Sons Charitable Trust. With more than 28+ years of experience in training future entrepreneurs and managers, it has emerged as one of the distinguished Universities in the Delhi NCR area.

The University has been set up under the Uttar Pradesh Private University (Amendment) Act 2022 with a vision to be globally inclusive and Responsible and the focus will be on Computer Science and Engineering, Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. It is located in 16-18 Knowledge Park II Greater Noida, with a built area of over 26 acres known for its state-of-the-art facilities. The IILM School of Law is offering BA.LLB.

Eligibility

  • Students pursuing either a 3-year or a 5-year LL.B. degree from any Law School/College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible to participate. Team members must be bonafide students of the institution they are representing.
  • Teams participating in the Competition must be duly authorized by the moot court society/ Faculty-incharge/Dean of their respective Institute to participate. (Registration Form is attached with the Brochure pdf).
  • No University/institution can send more than two teams for the Competition.

Theme

The objective of the Moot Court Competition is to provide participants with a platform to hone their legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills within a simulated courtroom environment.

Moot Problem is based upon Criminal law, Contract Law, Constitutional Law, and other allied laws to allow students to apply theoretical legal knowledge to practical scenarios, analyzing cases, statutes, and precedents to construct compelling legal arguments.

Prizes

The winners shall be awarded Cash prizes, Certificates, Trophies, and other perks which may be announced at a later stage of the Competition. There shall be awards under the following categories:

  • Winning Team: Rs 61000/-
  • Runner-Up Team: Rs 31000/-
  • Best Speaker/Mooter: Rs 5000/-
  • Best Researcher: Rs 5000/-
  • Best Memorial: Rs 5000/-

All Participants will be given participation certificates

  • Opening of Registration: 18/02/2024
  • Last Date for seeking clarifications: 10/03/2024
  • Last Date of Final Registration along with payment: 24/03/2024
  • Last Date of Memorial Submission (Soft Copy): 10/04/2024 (Before 11:59 PM)
  • Last Date of Memorial Submission (Hard Copy): 13/04/2024
  • Researcher’s Test & Draw of Lots: 17/04/2024
  • Preliminary and Quarter-Final Rounds: 18/04/2024
  • Semi-Finals, Final Round & Valedictory Function: 19/04/2024

Registration Process

Interested participants have to first fill out the Physical Registration Form, Pay the Registration Fees, and then fill out the Google Form.
