About Maharaja Surajmal Institute
Maharaja Surajmal Institute (MSI) was established in the year 1999 with the aim to propagate quality professional education to the younger generation through innovative and creative methodologies. Affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha (GGSIP) University and NAAC ‘A’ Grade Accredited, the institute is rated Category ‘A’ by SFRC & JAC, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. MSI boasts an 8-acre lush green campus in Janakpuri, New Delhi, and offers highly sought-after courses like BBA, B.Com, BCA, and B.Ed.
The Maharaja Surajmal MUN Society (SOMUN), founded in 2023, serves as a center for diplomacy, dialogue, and global awareness within the institute. It provides a platform for students to explore diverse perspectives, sharpen critical thinking, and develop leadership skills through parliamentary debates and international diplomacy simulations.
About the Opportunity
MSI and SOMUN are proud to announce Youth Parliament 2.0, a flagship event designed to simulate the dynamics of national and international diplomacy. The event aims to empower young minds to conceive creative ideas and identify innovative solutions to complex global and national challenges.
Committees and Agendas
Participants can choose to represent delegates in the following committees:
- All India Political Party Meet (AIPPM)
- Agenda: Critically Analyzing the Government’s Handling of India’s Foreign Policy Amid the US-Iran Conflict.
- Lok Sabha
- Agenda: Education reforms with a special emphasis on minimum education qualification for politicians.
- Rajya Sabha
- Agenda: Discussion on Strengthening India’s Legal and Institutional Framework to Combat International Human Trafficking and Elite Exploitation Networks in Light of the Epstein Revelations.
Eligibility
The event is open to students (including from High School too)across various disciplines who are interested in diplomacy, law, and political discourse.
