National Law University and Judicial Academy, (NLUJA) Assam is a National Law University located in Guwahati, Assam, India. It was established in 2009 through an Act passed by the State Legislature of Assam as a public university dedicated to the field of legal education.
About the DPIIT IPR Chair
Department for Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, launched a Scheme for Pedagogy & Research in IPRs for Holistic Education & Academia (SPRIHA) in the year 2016 under which IPR Chairs have been set up in select universities and academic institutes.
This was in accordance National IPR Policy launched by the Government of India in 2016, which proclaims, as one of the objectives under section 7.2 as, “Strengthen IP Chairs in educational institutes of higher learning to provide quality teaching and research, develop teaching capacity and curricula and evaluate their work on performance based criteria.”
About the IQAC Cell
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of the institution’s system and work towards realisation of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.
About the Webinar
On 03.09.2021 via Google-Meet, from 3:30 PM onwards the IQAC Cell of the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam and the DPIIT IPR Chair, under the patronage of our Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) V.K. Ahuja has jointly organized a Webinar in collaboration with the Delhi School of Public Policy and Governance entitled, “Intellectual Property Management”, by Prof. Rajat Agrawal, Associate Dean (Innovation and Incubation) Co-ordinator IPR Cell, IIT Roorkee.
Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Member of Parliament, Former Union Minister, Law and Justice has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest for the Webinar.
