About Centre of Excellence for Research and Applications in Law
The Centre of Excellence for Research and Applications in Law (CERA) at National Law University, Jodhpur focuses on the intersection of law, technology and society. The Centre seeks to address contemporary challenges by promoting legal and regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and blockchain.
CERA also works towards promoting communication governance, intellectual property awareness among local artisans and policy research on the interface between law and technology.
About the Book
The Centre of Excellence for Research and Applications in Law, National Law University, Jodhpur, invites original and unpublished manuscripts for its upcoming edited book, “VedaNyaya: Law, Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies” (Volume I, Issue 1).
The edited book will focus on the legal dimensions of Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies. All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by a Board of Peer Reviewers, under the guidance of the faculty editors and with the assistance of the editorial team.

Submission Guidelines
- The manuscript should be between 5,000 and 6,000 words, inclusive of footnotes and abstract.
- Each submission must include an abstract of not more than 300 words, along with 5–7 keywords.
- Co-authorship is permitted, with a maximum of three authors.
- An author or a team of co-authors may submit only one submission.
- The manuscript should be prepared on A4-sized paper and follow the prescribed formatting requirements.
- The language of submission must be English, with British or American spelling used consistently.
- Footnotes must be in Times New Roman, font size 10, with single line spacing.
- Authors must follow the Bluebook (21st edition) Uniform System of Citation.
- The manuscript must not contain any information identifying the author(s), as the submissions will undergo anonymous evaluation.
- Author details must be provided separately in a cover letter.
- Submissions must be original, unpublished and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Manuscripts that do not conform to the submission guidelines may be rejected at the discretion of the Editorial Board.

- ORCID ID, if applicable
- Short biography of not more than 50 words

- Main Body: Times New Roman, 12 pt, justified, 1.5 line spacing
- Headings: Times New Roman, 14 pt, centre-aligned, 1.5 line spacing
- Sub-headings: Times New Roman, 13 pt, italicised, centre-aligned, 1.5 line spacing
- Footnotes: Times New Roman, 10 pt, justified, single line spacing
- Margins: One inch (2.54 cm) on all sides

Selected authors will be required to sign the publisher’s Consent to Publish / Copyright Transfer Agreement. Selected papers will be published as chapters in an accredited book bearing an ISBN.
