About the Law College Dehradun

Law College Dehradun has splendidly contributed to legal education in the country since its inception and inauguration by His Excellency Shri Surjeet Singh Barnala, the then Governor of Uttarakhand in 2002. It has set a paradigm for legal education in the nation by offering innovative, research-driven discourses that are aimed at striking a balance between legal theory and practice.

About the event

Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University, is organizing a National Essay Writing Competition on Conservation of Ecosystem.

Eligibility

All the students who are pursuing an Undergraduate and Postgraduate Course from any recognised University from India, as well as foreign, are eligible to participate in the same. Multiple Participation is allowed i.e. one person can register himself for as many entries as they want.

• Environmental Sustainable practices in India.
• Ecosystem Services and green infrastructures in cities.
• Ecosystem of the darling river.

Registration

• Registrations will be done through Google forms.

• Multiple Participation is allowed i.e. one person can register himself for as many entries as they want.
• Participants will receive all the details and links through their registered mail id’s.

Submission Details

Participants shall submit the article on or before the last date, no late submissions will be accepted. Submission will be accepted only through E-mail. Participants are required to attach Article (in .doc or .docx format) and Declaration (link provided above) in the E-mail.

The declaration which is to be signed and attached (as a separate file) with the paper at the time of submission.

The Subject of the E-mail should be “NATIONAL ESSAY WRITING(NAME OF AUTHOR)” and E-mail should be sent to: [email protected]

Note:

• No late submissions will be accepted.
• Date of Result declaration may vary, if unavoidable circumstances arrive.
• Amidst this outbreak of global pandemic COVID-19, all the certificate that will be issued to the participants will be
  E-certificate.
• Any kind of cheating or violation of rules will lead to disqualification.

General Guidelines

• Co-authorship is allowed up to 2 people.
• Plagiarism level SHOULD NOT EXCEED 15%.
• The Article should be in ENGLISH only.
• No participant can make more than one submission. The submission should be made only in “.doc or .docx” format.
• The word limit for the article is 2500-4000 words. The word limit is exclusive of the footnotes.
• The body of the Email during submission should contain the following:
  • Salutation
  • Topic of the Article
  • Name of the Author
  • Qualification of author along with details
  • Contact number and Email ID of author.
  • Declaration has to be signed and attached along with article.

  • Font Size (Heading): 14 and Bold
  • Font Size (Body): 12
  • Line Spacing: 1.5 pt.

• 1st Position: Rs. 1,000 + Certificate of Merit
• 2nd Position: Certificate of Merit

• Last date for Registration: 20th November 2021
