Uttar Pradesh Judicial Services Exam 2022: Exam Pattern
The Uttar Pradesh Judicial Services Exam is conducted in three stages namely Preliminary, Mains & Interview Round. The details regarding these stages of the exam are as follows:

Preliminary Examination
- The Prelims Question Paper Examination shall consist of Two Objective type question paper.
- The Prelims paper I consists of 150 marks while Paper II will be of 300 marks with negative marking of 0.33 marks on each wrong answer.
- Time Duration shall be 2 hours to attempt the paper.
- Candidates qualifying the Prelims Exams shall be eligible to appear for Mains Examination.
Mains Examination
- Mains Examination consists of five papers & shall be conducted in descriptive answer writing format with 3 hours allotted for each paper for 200 Marks (Each).
- The five question papers of Mains Exam shall consist of:
- Paper I: General Knowledge (200 Marks)
- Paper-II: Language (200 Marks)
- Paper III: Law I (Substantive Law) (200 Marks)
- Paper IV: Law II (Procedure and Evidence) (200 Marks)
- Paper V: Law III (Penal, Revenue, and Local Laws) (200 Marks)
Interview Round
Those candidates who clear Mains Exams shall be called for Interview Round which constitute 100 Marks in Total. The final merit will be prepared on the basis of the marks attained by the candidates in the main examination & viva-voce.

- Uttar Pradesh Urban (Planning and Development) Act 1973, together with rules framed under the aforesaid Acts.
