About the Event

In collaboration with Scriboard, TLJT is excited to announce one of the biggest Tech-Law Article Writing Competitions yet! This competition invites law students, professionals, and scholars to submit articles on the latest topics in technology law, competing for a grand prize pool of ₹35,000 (Divided amongst the Top 4) + Internships for the Top 5 + Publication + Certificate of Merit.

Eligibility

  • Law students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate programs.
  • Legal professionals and scholars with an interest in technology law.
  • Any Computer Science Student
  • Co-authorship is permitted (maximum of two authors per entry).

Theme

  • Everything Tech-Law
    • Participants are encouraged to submit articles on any topic related to technology law, including but not limited to:
      • Cyber Law
      • Data Protection
      • Intellectual Property in Technology
      • AI and Law
      • Blockchain and Legal Implications
      • Digital Rights
      • Technology Regulation

Submission Categories

Articles (800-1500 Words)

Prizes

  • 1st Prize: ₹12,000
  • 2nd Prize: ₹10,000
  • 3rd Prize: ₹8,000
  • 4th Prize: ₹5,000

Additional Rewards

  • Publication Opportunities: Top 10 entries will be published on TLJT.
  • Internships with Scriboard: Top 5 entries will secure internships at Scriboard, a leading law firm in technology and intellectual property law, headed by Mr. Rodney D. Ryder.
  • Certificates of Merit: Top 20 entries will receive Certificates of Merit.
  • Consideration for Future Publications: The next 10 submissions will be considered for future publication opportunities.

Selection Guidelines

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • Technical Depth
  • Creativity
  • Explanation of Technicalities
  • Critical Analysis And Evaluation
  • Logical Flow
  • Clarity of expression and coherence
  • Relevance and Contemporariness 
  • Writing Quality – Grammar , Syntax and Style

Note: All submissions will be checked for plagiarism. Entries found plagiarized will be disqualified. See the brochure for additional details.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions must be original and unpublished.
  • Co-authorship is allowed (maximum two authors).
  • Each entry must be without any meta-data of the authors 

Registration and Submission Deadline (Important Dates)

  • Opening of Registrations and Submissions: 15th October 2024
  • Last Date of Registration: 25th November 2024
  • Last Date of Submission: 10th December 2024
  • Declaration of Results: 30th January 2025

Registration Fees

  • Single-author entry: ₹350
  • Co-authored entry (up to 2 authors): ₹550

Registration Process

  1. Fill out the Registration Form: Click here to register
  2. Payment of Registration Fee:
    • Complete the payment as per the instructions provided in the registration form.
    • Upload the payment receipt in the registration form.
  3. Confirmation:
    • After successful registration and payment, a confirmation email will be sent. A team code shall be given to you , which shall be used for further communications i.e filling the next form and using that same team code.
