About NLU Odisha

National Law University Odisha (NLUO) is a public law school and a National law University in India located at Cuttack, Odisha. It was established in 2008 (Act 4 of 2008) under the National Law University Odisha Act, commencing its first batch from July 2009. The institute offers undergraduate courses (integrated B.A./LL.B., BBA/LL.B.), and post-graduate courses (L.L.M, M.Phil., PhD) in law. It is one among the 25 NLUs in the country.

About LexTech

LexTech – Centre for Law, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation focuses on the emerging areas of FinTech, AI, TMT, Online Gaming and Betting Laws, and Data Privacy. The centre publishes a monthly newsletter that thoroughly analyses updates in these subject areas. Additionally, the centre hosts a premier talk show called “Tech Tales: From Code to Courtroom.” It is a platform that hosts legal-tech industry experts who share their knowledge from real-life experiences, providing the audience with an insight into the legal world.

About TechTales

Tech-Tales is LexTech’s premier talk series, where we invite industry experts in topics like AI, FinTech, TMT, Data Privacy, Online Gaming, and much more! With its inception, NLUO became the first National Law University to cover these topics. These experts will discuss the recent developments in these areas and put forth their legal perspectives. The sessions will be conducted online via platforms like Google Meet and streamed to the entire student body. It will be an interactive session and the floor will be opened to questions at the end!

About the Guest

Ms. Siboney ma’am is a leading expert in legal regulatory, public policy and telecom, media and telecom laws. She completed her Bachelor’s from NLSIU Bangalore in 1998 and then went to pursue her Master’s degree from Columbia Law School. She then did a diploma in International Law from Hague Academy.

Eligibility

Open to all law students from 5 year integrated course, LLM, 3 year LLB course, PhD, and law school faculty or students from any recognised university.
