The Department of Law, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Maharashtra is organising a two-day national seminar commemorating ‘75 years of the Constitution of India’. Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), is one of India’s premier educational institutions, fostering a rich tradition of legal scholarship, academic excellence, and public engagement in constitutional discourse.

About the Event

Theme: 75 Years of the Constitution of India: Realising the Promise of Justice

This national seminar aims to critically reflect on the Constitution’s vision of justice – social, economic, and political over 75 years. With more than 300 expected participants including judges, senior advocates, scholars, and students, this event will be a confluence of academic and legal minds.

Open to: Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students (Law and Allied Disciplines), Research Scholars, Academicians, Legal Practitioners, Policy Professionals, Members of Judiciary

  • Submission & Registration Procedure

Step 1: Abstract Submission

  • Word Limit: 250–300 words
  • MS Word format (DOC/DOCX), Times New Roman, Size 12, 1.5 spacing
  • Must Include: Title, Name(s), Designation, Institution, Email, Phone, City, and State
  • Deadline: 10th August 2025

Step 2: Abstract Acceptance Notification

  • Notification Date: By 15th August 2025 (Through E-mail Communication)
  • Only accepted abstracts are eligible for full paper submission.

Step 3: Full Paper Submission

  • Word Limit: 3,500 to 6,000 words (excluding footnotes)
  • Format: Times New Roman (12 for main text, 10 for footnotes), 1.5 spacing
  • Citation: Bluebook 20th Edition
  • Plagiarism must be under 10%
  • Include proof of registration fee payment
  • Submit via this form.
  • Deadline: 30th August 2025

Step 4: Notification for Presentation

Date: By 5th September 2025 (Through E-mail Communication)
Only selected papers will be invited for in-person presentation.

Fee Details

To be paid after abstract acceptance:

  • Students: ₹300
  • Academicians / Professionals: ₹700
  • Co-authors (max 2) do not need to pay separately. One registration covers both.
  • Publication Opportunity

Selected papers will be published in a peer-reviewed ISBN book by the Department of Law, SPPU.
Certificate of publication will be provided.
Publication is independent of paper presentation.
