Eligibility
- The competition is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in recognized universities and institutions across India.
- Each participant may submit only one entry.
- Professionals are allowed to contribute.
Submission Guidelines
- Originality: Submissions must be original and unpublished. Any form of plagiarism whether textual, structural, or conceptual will lead to immediate disqualification. Manuscripts must not be submitted to or under consideration by any other platform at the same time.
- Word Limit: The ideal length of a manuscript is 1000–1500 words (excluding endnotes, if any). Longer articles may be accepted at the discretion of the Editorial Board and may be published in parts if required.
- Language: Manuscripts must be submitted in English. Authors are expected to maintain clarity, accuracy, and a professional standard of legal writing.
- Co–authorship: Co-authorship is permitted for up to two authors per submission. Articles with more than two authors will not be considered.
- Anonymity: To maintain a strict double-blind review process, authors must not include their name, institutional affiliation, or any identifying information anywhere in the document or the filename. Submissions that violate anonymity will be returned without review.
- File Format: All submissions must be uploaded in .docx format only. PDF or other file types will not be accepted.
- References: All sources must be cited through hyperlinks embedded within the text, wherever such sources are publicly accessible online. If a source cannot be hyperlinked, authors may use Bluebook Citation, 20th Edition. Every factual claim must be supported by a reliable source.
- Copyright: Upon acceptance and publication, copyright shall vest with the Royal Moot Court Society, while moral rights remain with the author(s). The Blog publishes exclusive content; therefore, manuscripts published elsewhere must not be submitted.
- Cross–Posting: Cross-posting is allowed only with prior written permission of the Editorial Board. Any cross-posted article must clearly state that it was “first published on the RMCS Blog.”
Formatting Guidelines
File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format. The filename should contain only the title of the post and must not include any personal or identifying details of the author(s).
- Formatting: The manuscript must follow the standard formatting requirements:
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Alignment: Justified
- Paragraph Spacing: 6 pt before and after each paragraph
The title of the submission must be formatted in:
- Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12
- Bold
- ALL CAPS
