Eligibility

Institutional Eligibility:

a. The Competition is open to all students duly enrolled in a recognized Law School, Faculty of Law, or University Department offering an undergraduate law degree program.

b. Eligible programs include integrated 5-year law programs (such as B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., B.Com. LL.B., B.Sc. LL.B., etc.) and standalone 3-year LL.B. programs.

c. Each participating institution shall be permitted to register only one (1) team for the Competition.

Individual Eligibility:

a. Participants must be bona fide, full-time students of their respective institutions and must be enrolled in an undergraduate law degree at the time of registration as well as during the Competition.

b. Students who have been admitted to the Bar or are practicing law in any jurisdiction shall not be eligible to participate.

c. Participation is open irrespective of nationality. International undergraduate law students currently pursuing their law degree at recognized institutions are equally eligible.

Team Composition: Each team shall consist of a maximum of three (3) members.

Awards

  1. Winner: The team declared as the Winner of the Competition shall be awarded Certificates of Merit, Medals for all team members, along with a Cash Prize of INR 1,00,000 (approx. USD 1,200).
  2. Runners-Up: The team declared as the Runners-Up of the Competition shall be awarded Certificates of Merit, Medals for all team members, along with a Cash Prize of INR 50,000 (approx. USD 600).
  3. Best Memorial: The team securing the highest overall score in the memorial evaluation shall be awarded the Best Memorial Certificate, Medals for all team members, along with a Cash Prize of INR 10,000 (approx. USD 120).
  4. Best Speaker: The participant with the highest cumulative score in the Preliminary Rounds shall be awarded the Best Speaker Certificate and Medal, along with a Cash Prize of INR 20,000 (approx. USD 240).
  5. A gold trophy with confetti AI-generated content may be incorrect.
  6. Best Researcher: The participant designated as Researcher who secures the highest score in the Researcher’s Test shall be awarded the Best Researcher Certificate and Medal, along with a Cash Prize of INR 20,000 (approx. USD 240).

Registration Fee

Each participating team is required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of INR 3,500/- for Indian teams or USD 45 for international teams. Teams are requested to refer to the Rule Book for detailed instructions regarding the payment procedure, modes of payment, and submission of proof of payment.
