About the Centre for Regulatory Studies

The Centre for Regulatory Studies at National Law University Delhi (NLUD) is dedicated to advancing research and dialogue on emerging legal and regulatory challenges in India. As a hub of interdisciplinary inquiry, the Centre focuses on developing actionable policy solutions to address complex regulatory issues in sectors such as technology, gaming, public policy, and governance.

About the Job

The Centre for Regulatory Studies invites applications for two (2) full-time Research Associate positions to support the e-gaming regulations research project

Eligibility

  • A bachelor’s degree in law with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
  • Prior research experience in legal and regulatory studies or interdisciplinary research.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laws related to digital platforms, technology, and gaming.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools and methods, including case law and statutory analysis.
  • A master’s degree in law with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
  • Demonstrated record of publications in reputable academic journals.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive research on legal, regulatory, and policy aspects of e-gaming in India and globally.
  • Developing detailed reports, policy briefs, and academic papers based on the research findings.
  • Engaging in stakeholder consultations with government agencies, industry leaders, and consumer advocacy groups.
  • Assisting in organizing conferences, roundtable discussions, and dissemination events related to the project.
  • Undertaking any additional responsibilities or tasks as may be assigned in furtherance of any project’s objectives.

Salary

The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of INR 50,000.

Nature of Engagement

This is a contractual appointment for a period of six months, extendable by six months based on performance and project requirements.
