About the Project
“Justice delayed is justice denied” is one common aphorism that is often referred to in the judicial system of any civilized society. The achievement of some of the fundamental objectives of such a civilized society gets frustrated if the administration of justice is unfair, complicated, and time-consuming. The present research study intends to take up an in-depth analysis as to why the present judiciary system in India in unable to yield the desired results.
There is a need to decipher various causes of mounting court arrears and judicial delays, in light of a vision to explore plausible solutions to remedy the gaps in the present system of dispensation of justice. Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICCSR), Ministry of Education (MoE) is the funding agency of this research that aims to conduct cutting-edge research for policy implications.
About the Job
They are seeking to engage 1 (one) Research Assistant on part-time/full-time basis.
National Law University, Delhi is seeking to engage on a contractual basis, one parttime/full-time Research Assistant. The Research Assistant is expected to engage in diverse research activities mainly data compilation, tabulation, and analysis apart from writing of research papers, publication and Report editing and writing, etc. He/she is expected to assist the Principal Investigator/Project Director in conducting research on various themes and topics relating to the ICSSR Project and of the Centre.
Employment Opportunity for the following post: Research post of Research Assistant will be funded out of the grants received under the Major Research Project Sponsored (2023-25) from the ICCSR, New Delhi.
Eligibility
- Candidates holding post-graduate degree in law (LL.M. with 55 % marks minimum) having interest and experience in empirical and doctrinal research in interdisciplinary fields.
- Candidate should be below the age of 40 years at the time of appointment.
Essential Qualifications
- Possess a post-graduate degree in law with a minimum 55% marks
- Demonstrate good field research skills and experience
- Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to create quality content, worth publication
- Good knowledge of MS Office and online platforms
- Experience and ability to collect and compile data and its analysis

Remuneration will be Rs. 10000- Rs. 25000 per month depending upon the assignment (part-time or full-time).
Duration of Job
The duration shall be for a period of 3 months initially. It may be extended as per the requirement. Working hours will be from Monday to Saturday and will depend upon the kind of assignment given.
