The Centre for Sports Law, UPES aims to provide students and young legal professionals with access to practitioners and other individuals in the sports and entertainment law fields and to allow them to pursue and explore the many areas of sports and entertainment law.

With immense excitement, they announce that VidhiUtsav, The National Law Fest, organized by the School of Law at UPES, which provides an unparalleled platform for law students nationwide to showcase their skills and compete in many legal competitions is finally here. In pursuance of VidhiUtsav, the Centre for Sports Law will organize its 1st National Sports Law Quiz Competition.

About The Opportunity

This quiz aims to put the participant’s knowledge and quizzing instincts to the test in a series of rounds filled with legal knowledge, excitement, and ecstasy in the area of sports law.

Eligibility

Any student pursuing Law i.e. whether a 3-year course or a 5-year course from recognized universities throughout the country.

Theme

The participants will be tested on the following topics:

• Role of State in Regulating Sports
• Gender Inequality in Sports
• Doping in Sports
• Sports as Business – Sports Leagues, Image Rights & IPRs
• Betting & Gambling in Sports
• Contractual Concerns in Sports
• Sports Injury & Liability vis-à-vis Tort Law
• Dispute Resolution in Sports
• Any other theme related to Sports.

• Total Prize Pool: ₹ 23,000
• 1st – Rs. 12,000 + Certificate & Trophy
• 2nd -Rs. 7,000 + Certificate & Trophy
• 3rd -Rs. 4,000 + Certificate & Trophy
