About the Event

St. Mother Teresa Group of College takes great pride in celebrating Founders Day on 1st July 2023. This special occasion is dedicated to commemorating the memory of our esteemed founder, Prof. Dr. Madan Lal Khurana. As a tribute to his vision and contributions, we have organized an engaging day filled with a debate and quiz competition.

Debate Competition

Topics:

1. Censorship of OTT platforms – Right or Wrong?
2. Uniform Civil Code: Should be or Should not be?

The debate competition provides a platform for participants to engage in a healthy exchange of ideas and express their opinions on these thought-provoking topics. This event aims to encourage insightful discussions and well-reasoned arguments.

Quiz Competition

Topic: Fundamental Rights under the Indian Constitution

The quiz competition challenges participants’ knowledge and understanding of the fundamental rights enshrined in the Indian Constitution. It covers key concepts, landmark cases, and relevant provisions related to fundamental rights, promoting a deeper understanding of this crucial aspect of our legal framework.

Speech Competition

Topics:

1. ‘The Kerala Story’ debate! Do films truly reflect reality and hold a mirror to society?
2. Bring strong anti-tobacco law to save youth- for or against
3. Should same-sex marriage be legal in India?
4. Population Control Bill: A Problem or A Solution? for India

Eligibility

The competitions are open to students from all colleges. We invite students from various disciplines to showcase their talents and intellectual prowess.

College Location

St. Mother Teresa Group of College, Lonapur Gomti Nagar Lucknow.

Registration

• Debate Competition: The registration fee is INR 100 per student.
• Quiz Competition: The registration fee is INR 200 per team (consisting of three participants.
• Speech Competition: The registration fee is INR 100 per student.

Prizes

• All participants will be awarded a certificate on the spot for their active participation.
• The two best speakers in the debate and speech competition will be awarded gold and silver medals, respectively.

Transportation and Food Facility

For the convenience of participants, college buses will be provided from Polytechnic Chauraha. Please gather at the designated location to avail the transportation facility. Refreshments and snacks will be generously provided to all participating students throughout the duration of the competition.
