About National Law University Odisha

National Law University Odisha is a public law school and a National law University in India located at Cuttack, Odisha. It was established in 2008 under the National Law University Odisha Act, commencing its first batch from July 2009.

AboutCounsels’ Cottage

Counsels’ Cottage is a social initiative to support and uplift the under privileged by providing legal support and knowledge with a goal to build a community of socially driven legal luminaries in order to work collectively for the betterment of our people.

Registered under Madhya Pradesh society registration act 1860, Counsels’ Cottage is an association of enthusiastic litigators fostered by the values and guided by the principles incorporated by mankind with an objective to provide Pro-bono assistance, legal aid to the downtrodden citizens across India. It also pledges to initiate courses/campaigns to alleviate digital gap, encourage unity along with instilling ideas of communal harmony, and organizing nation-wide events to discover budding talent.

Who can Participate?

Group 1: School Going Students Of Class 9th, 10th, 11th,12th of Any Stream Including Those Who Have Taken Drop.
Group 2: Law Student Studying 5 Year Integrated Course or 3 Year LL.B. Course From Any Recognized University Of India.

Syllabus

Group 1: General Studies and General Aptitude (the questions in the entire Quiz shall be asked from the topics including but not limited to History, Geography, Political Science, Science, Economics, Literature, Arts, and Sports).

Group 2: General Awareness, Indian Constitution, Mental Ability

Tentative Dates

The preliminary round of quizzes for both the Groups is on 9th January 2022.

Quiz Format

There will be preliminary rounds and a final round in the Quiz for both groups.

Preliminary Round Time: 12 minutes;Number of Questions – 50
Final Round: One on one Quiz with all the finalists from each group; Number of Questions – 13

There will be a timer in all the rounds;
Other activities at the time of the rounds will also be monitored.
