We are pleased to invite you to a panel discussion on the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day 2025, organized by CIPR, UPES School of Law. The theme for the discussion, in line with the theme of World Intellectual Property Organization for 2025 is “Exploring the Intersection of Music, Technology, and IP in a Digital-First World.” The discussion will focus on the evolving landscape of music creation, distribution, and consumption, addressing key challenges such as copyright protection, unauthorized sharing, and digital innovation in the industry.

About the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR)

Established in August 2021, CIPR at UPES Dehradun aims to create awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and provides support to academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, and innovators in protecting and utilizing their intellectual property. The Centre actively engages in seminars, discussions, and events to address contemporary challenges in the field of IPR.

  • Professor Johanna Gibson – Herchel Smith Professor of Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary University of London
