About YouthNiti 2.0

YouthNiti is a dynamic, youth-led initiative aimed at empowering young minds through meaningful discussions on pressing political, social, national and international issues. The initiative provides a platform for constructive debates, policy analysis and interactive deliberations, encouraging participants to critically examine contemporary issues and contribute innovative perspectives.

YouthNiti 2.0 seeks to nurture leadership, civic responsibility, critical thinking, public speaking and democratic participation through simulations of parliamentary proceedings. By bringing together young individuals from diverse backgrounds, the event aims to create an intellectually stimulating environment where participants can engage with important questions of governance, law, democracy and public policy.

The initiative further seeks to encourage collaboration and dialogue among young people while providing them with an opportunity to interact with young leaders, diplomats, changemakers and fellow participants from across the country.

1. Lok Sabha

Agenda:
Discussion on the Integrity of Public Examinations in India: Paper Leaks, Functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA), and the Need for Educational Reforms

2. Rajya Sabha

Agenda:
Discussion on the Constitutional Balance between the Unitary Tilt of the Indian Federation and the Principles of Cooperative Federalism

3. AIPPM

Agenda:
Discussion on the Independence of the Media in India: Balancing Freedom of the Press, Regulation, and Democratic Accountability

4. Indian Press (IP)

Registration Fee

The registration fee for YouthNiti 2.0 is:

  • United University / United Group students (UU + UIMS + UGI): ₹799
  • Students from other institutions: ₹899

What Participants Receive

Participants will be entitled to the following:

  • Cash prizes worth up to ₹50,000
  • Trophy and Certificate of Merit for winners
  • Certificate of Participation for all eligible participants
  • Delegate kits and conference materials
  • Meals for both days
  • Opportunity to interact with young leaders, diplomats and changemakers from across the country

Rules and Guidelines

  • The prescribed dress code is Ethnic Formal Wear.
  • Participation certificates shall be subject to compliance with the event requirements and attendance criteria.
  • Participants must carry a valid institutional ID or other prescribed identification.
  • Delegates are required to maintain the highest standards of discipline, dignity and parliamentary decorum.
  • Participants may speak in any scheduled language, preferably Hindi and/or English.
  • All participants must complete the registration process within the prescribed deadline.
  • No travel allowance or accommodation will be provided by the organisers.
  • Criticism must be directed towards policies, ideas, institutions or arguments and not individuals.
  • Personal attacks, derogatory remarks, intimidation, offensive language and un-parliamentary expressions are prohibited.
  • The ruling of the Chair on matters of procedure and decorum shall be respected.
  • Delegates are expected to attend all sessions assigned to them and report to their respective venues before the scheduled commencement of proceedings.
  • Mobile phones must remain on silent mode during formal proceedings.
  • Unauthorised recording, photography or live streaming of committee proceedings may be restricted by the Organising Committee.
