About the Conference

The international system is undergoing profound transformation, marked by geopolitical contestations, technological disruptions, economic fragmentation, climate challenges, shifting power balances, and growing uncertainty in global governance. Against this backdrop, the conference is being organised in collaboration with and with the support of the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), New Delhi, reflecting the importance of strengthening academic–policy engagement and facilitating informed dialogue on India’s evolving role in world affairs. The vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, coinciding with the centenary of India’s independence, recognizes that national transformation and global engagement are closely interconnected. Economic growth, technological advancement, national security, sustainable development and social resilience increasingly depend upon effective diplomacy and international partnerships.

The conference will be held on 30–31 October 2026 at Amity University Rajasthan in Hybrid Mode (Offline + Online).

The conference seeks to provide an interdisciplinary platform for academics, diplomats, policymakers, practitioners, research scholars and students to deliberate upon India’s evolving foreign policy and its contribution to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The conference will explore India’s role in development diplomacy, economic partnerships, strategic security, regional engagement, global governance and leadership in the Global South.

Researchers are encouraged to submit papers addressing contemporary developments in India’s foreign policy, diplomacy, development partnerships, economic relations, strategic security, regional engagement, global governance, India’s role in the Global South and emerging dimensions of foreign policy in the digital age.

The conference seeks to facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue among academics, diplomats, policymakers, practitioners, research scholars and students.

Submission Categories

The conference accepts the following categories of submissions:

  • Abstract Submission
  • Full Research Paper
  • Paper Presentation/Participation in Hybrid Mode (Offline + Online)
  • Jointly authored papers may also be submitted. Registration is mandatory for all authors.

Formatting Guidelines

Please follow the guidelines below while preparing and submitting your abstract:

  • Title: Concise, informative, and clearly indicative of the subject of the paper.
    • Font: Times New Roman, 14 pt, Bold
    • Alignment: Centre
    • Avoid unnecessary abbreviations.
  • Author(s):
    • Name(s) of author(s): Times New Roman, 12 pt, Bold
    • Affiliation, designation, institution, city and country: Times New Roman, 11 pt
    • Email address of the corresponding author should be provided.
    • In case of multiple authors, clearly indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk (*).
  • Abstract:
    • Length: 250–300 words
    • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
    • Line spacing: 1.15
    • Alignment: Justified
    • The abstract should briefly present the research problem, objectives/research questions, methodology, major findings/arguments, and significance/implications of the study.
    • References, tables, figures, footnotes and extensive quotations should not be included in the abstract.
  • Keywords:
    • Provide 4–6 keywords immediately below the abstract.
    • Font: Times New Roman, 11 pt
    • Keywords should be separated by commas.
  • Page Layout:
    • Paper size: A4
    • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
    • Submit the abstract in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.

Submission Guidelines

  • The submission must be original and unpublished.
  • The abstract should be relevant to the main conference theme or one of the sub-themes.
  • The abstract should clearly present the research problem, objectives, methodology, major arguments/findings and conclusion.
  • Authors must provide complete details, including name, institutional affiliation, designation/programme, email address and contact number.
  • Full papers should be submitted after acceptance of the abstract and within the prescribed deadline.
  • Authors must maintain academic integrity and follow appropriate citation and referencing practices.
  • Jointly authored papers are permitted.
  • Registration is mandatory for all authors.
  • As per the conference announcement, abstracts will be considered only after payment and registration.
