Details About the Competition

A legal notice is an important pre-litigation communication through which a grievance or claim is formally presented, the basis of the demand is identified and an opportunity for resolution is provided before legal proceedings are initiated. The National Online Legal Notice Drafting Competition 2026 is designed as a practical, simulated legal drafting exercise for undergraduate law students across India.

The competition consists of a Legal Notice, a Reply to the Legal Notice and an Online Interview/Viva Voce. Participation is in pairs of two: one participant prepares the Legal Notice and the other prepares the Reply. Both participants appear for the Interview/Viva Voce.
