About the Opportunity

Amity Law School, Noida, is proud to announce the First edition of its National Moot Court Competition in 2024. This competition is designed to provide a platform for law students to explore current trends in competition law and hone their research and advocacy skills. Participants will engage with a specific legal issue related to competition law, gaining invaluable experience and exposure to diverse legal issues.

Eligibility

The competition is open to all students enrolled in Undergraduate/Postgraduate law courses (including LL.M. programs) or their equivalent, recognized by the Bar Council of India. Cross-institutional teams are welcome, with no limit on the number of teams from one institution. Teams can comprise two or three members.

Theme

The competition will focus on a significant legal issue in competition law, reflecting the ongoing evolution of this essential legal domain. It aims to foster intellectual discourse and contribute to the development of competition law.

Prizes

• Winning Team Award: The winning team will receive a plaque, a cash prize of INR 50,000/-, and an internship with the Centre for Competition Law and Economics.
• Runners-Up Team Award: The runners-up team will receive a plaque and a cash prize of INR 30,000/-.
• The best Speaker will receive a plaque and a cash prize of INR 5,000.
• The team with the Best Memorandum will receive a plaque and a cash prize of INR. 10,000
• Best Researcher will receive a plaque, a cash prize of INR 5,000/-
• All participating teams will be provided with a certificate of participation or a certificate of merit in accordance with the performance of the team

• Registrations Close: August 16, 2024
• Last Date for Seeking Clarifications: August 16, 2024
• Release of Clarifications: August 17, 2024
• Memorandum Submission Deadline: August 18, 2024
• Memorandum Exchange/Researchers Test: August 21, 2024
• Prelims: August 22, 2024
• Semi-Final/Final: August 23, 2024

Registration Fee

The registration fee is INR 3000 + 18% GST per team. This fee is mandatory for all teams and does not include accommodation. Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable.
