About the Event

The National Judgment Writing Competition, 2025 is designed to cultivate the craft of  judicial writing by placing students in the role of a judge. The theme of Judgment writing  will consist of Contract law and Law of Torts. The competition blends creative lawyering  with innovative judging: students must frame issues, evaluate rival contentions, sift  admissible facts and authorities, and reach a principled outcome that demonstrates both  legal rigour and judicial temperament.

At its core, the competition aims to develop a  judicious mind, promote fidelity to the rule of law, and encourage clear & accessible  reasoning.
