About Career College of Law
Career College of Law, affiliated with Barkatullah University, Bhopal, boasts 57 years of academic excellence in legal education. Offering a range of programs, including BA.LL.B (Hons. ), LL.B, and LL.M (2 Years), the college combines theoretical depth with practical experience. Students benefit from a highly qualified faculty with Ph.D. and NET qualifications, a well-equipped moot court, and a library stocked with AIR, DELNET, and N-List resources.

About Competition
After successfully organizing the first edition in 2025, we are now pleased to announce the second version of the National Essay Writing Competition 2.0.
Eligibility
Law Under graduate Student ,Post graduate students and Research scholars from recognized law college or university .
TOPIC: “The Legal Status of Non-Human Entities: Recognizing Rights of Animals and Nature”
SUBTHEME
- Legal personhood for animals: expanding the boundaries of rights
- Nature as legal entity: rights of rivers, forest , and ecosystems
- Challenges and controversies in granting rights to non humans
- Global perspective and emerging legal rights of nature and ecosystems .
Awards & Recognition
- 1st Prize – 2100 Rs + E- Certificate of merit
- 2nd Prize – 1100 Rs + E- Certificate of merit
- 3rd Prize – 500 Rs + E- Certificate of merit
- All participants will receive E- certificate of participation
Guidelines
Word Limit: The essay should be between 1500 to 2000 words .
Formatting
- Font: Times New Roman, Size: 12
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1-inch on all sides
- Page Numbers: At the bottom center of each page
- Language: The essay must be written in English or Hindi .
- Plagiarism: Any form of plagiarism will lead to disqualification. The essay should be original and free from any kind of copied content.
- AI generated content will be rejected outrightly.
- Co-authorship upto one author is allowed .
Evaluation will be based on
- Depth and clarity of legal analysis.
- Understanding of public health and environmental governance
- Originality of thoughts
- Research quality and citation
- Practical and reasoned conclusions
