About Siddhartha Law College

Siddhartha Law College is a college imparting education in law in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It was established in the year 2009 and offers a five-year integrated Bachelor of Law (B.A./B.B.A.LL.B) degree, a three-year (LL.B) degree, and a one-year Master of Law (LLM) degree. The college is affiliated with Uttarakhand Technical University.

About the Opportunity

Moot court competitions are simulated court proceedings where law students argue hypothetical cases. It helps students develop advocacy skills, legal research, and oral argument abilities. It’s a great way to gain practical experience in legal practice.

Siddhartha Law College Dehradun is organizing the first edition of the National Moot Court Competition in an offline mode on April 2 and 3 2024. This Competition is considered to be of great repute by the mooting circuits of the country. It is administered by the Moot Court Society of the college.

Eligibility

• Should be a law student( BALLB /LLB)being a member of a participating institution’s team
• It’s best to check the specific rules and requirements provided by the competition

Theme

• Participants have to pretend to be lawyers throughout the proceeding.
• The judges may ask them questions to test their conceptual understanding of laws applicable to the problem.

Prizes

• Winner: Rs.21,000+ Trophy + certificate + Three (3) one-year complimentary subscriptions to EBC Learning worth Rs. 14,500 each. Total value = Rs. 43,500 for the winning team
• Runner Up: Rs.11,000+Trophy + Certificate
• Best Researcher: Rs. 5,100 – Certificate
• Best Speaker: Rs. 5,100 Certificate
• Best Memorial: Rs. 5,100 Certificate
• Note: Certificates shall be issued to all the participants.
