About the Organisers

University Institute of Legal Studies, Ava-Lodge Shimla, is a Premier Institute of Himachal Pradesh providing quality legal education to students. Determined to provide quality education in law, the University in 2005 started a B.A.LL.B.(hons) Five-year Integrated course.

Details of the Event

• The event is a Moot Court Competition that is held in memory of the Late Sh. Thakur Kashmir Singh, which is to be held from 30th October to 1st November.
• For the past few years, we have had great participants from all over India.
• This Competition provides an unparalleled platform for law students from across the nation to hone their legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills. Participants will engage with a complex and contemporary legal problem, challenging them to think critically and argue their position persuasively before the esteemed judges.

Eligibility

• All students enrolled bona fide in an undergraduate course of Law, i.e. 3yrs/5yrs. Any college or University shall be eligible for participation in the Competition.
• Location –University Institute of Legal Studies, Ava-Lodge /Chaura Maidan / Shimla / Himachal Pradesh
• The event will be held offline on the campus.

Important Dates

• Last date of Registration- 20th October
• Memorial Submission- 25th October
• Inaugural and Researcher Test- 30th October
• Preliminary and Quarter Finals- 31st October
• Semi-finals and finals- 1st November
• Fee details – ₹3500 (excluding accommodation)

• 1st – ₹21000
• 2nd – ₹11000
• Best researcher- ₹ 5000
• Best speaker – ₹5000
• Best memorial -₹5000
