About the Job
Mastercard is hiring a Manager, Legal Compliance for its Pune office. Reporting to the Vice President, Legal Compliance, the role involves reviewing and managing global employee conflict of interest disclosures, providing guidance on conflict-related matters, supporting compliance initiatives, and contributing to the organisation’s Conflicts of Interest Centre of Excellence.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 3–5 years of compliance, paralegal, and/or conflicts experience at a financial institution or professional services firm.
- Understanding of laws applicable to a global payments technology company and a U.S.-based public corporation is preferred.
- Experience in developing and managing compliance policies and procedures.
- Strong data analytics skills with the ability to interpret and present information effectively.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including drafting and proofreading.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong active listening and partnership-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Advanced knowledge of conflict-of-interest systems and compliance tools.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and review conflict of interest disclosures and prepare related deliverables efficiently.
- Manage the disclosure workflow by coordinating with employees and managers to obtain required information and recommendations.
- Identify and resolve complexities in conflict disclosures in accordance with the Conflicts of Interest Guidelines.
- Assist with conflict of interest compliance training.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information required for disclosure reviews.
- Respond to employee queries regarding conflict of interest requirements.
- Provide clear guidance on the Conflicts of Interest Guidelines.
- Prepare and present conflicts-related data, reports, charts, and presentations.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a global network to support the compliance function.
- Develop and update compliance policies and procedures and oversee their implementation.
- Support key initiatives undertaken by the Conflicts of Interest Centre of Excellence.
- Stay updated on regulatory and legal developments relating to conflicts of interest.
